Darlaine Joyce Drady, 83, Bismarck, formerly of Minot, died Tuesday, August 11, 2015 in a Bismarck Hospital.

Darlaine was born February 8, 1932 at Willow City, North Dakota, the daughter of Henry and Emma (Wittmayer) Rockvoy. She was raised, confirmed and educated in Towner and moved with her family to Minot in 1941. She graduated from Minot High School in 1950 and attended Minot State Teachers College.

Darlaine was united in marriage to Allen Drady on September 7, 1952 in Minot. They made their home in Minot throughout the years, where along with raising their three children, she was employed during the tax season as a tax clerk for the Internal Revenue Service in Minot. After retiring, she and Allen traveled to Arizona and Texas. They had moved to Bismarck in September 2014.

Darlaine was a former member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church and currently a member of St Paul's Lutheran Church, where she was active with the ladies circle group and taught Sunday School. She was actively involved in the PTA at Bel Air Elementary School. She spent many years volunteering at Trinity Nursing Home and enjoyed reading, music and traveling. She enjoyed collecting stuffed animals and nutcrackers. She absolutely loved spending time with her grandchildren and furry grandpets. She was an avid fan of Minot hockey for her son and grandkids and wrestling fan for her grandsons of Bismarck High School. She and her husband, Allen, enjoyed sitting on the front porch having a glass of wine and she loved to sit along the River in Bismarck. She looked forward to meeting with her cousins and was especially close to her cousin, Teri.

Darlaine's loving family includes: husband of 63 years, Allen; children, Lori (Tom) Spaulding, Bismarck and John (Julie) Drady, Minot; grandchildren: Drew, Bailey, Dillon, Jessica and Joshua; grandpets: Cookie, Crosby, and Fluffy.

Darlaine was preceded in death by her parents and son, Mark.

Funeral service: Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in St Paul's Lutheran Church, Minot.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation : Friday, August 14th from 3:00 6:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials are preferred to St Paul's Lutheran Church or an organization of the donor's choice.
