Daniel S. Striefel, 78, Minot, died Wednesday, December 26, 2012, in a Minot hospital.

Daniel Striefel was born December 4, 1934, in Anamoose, ND to Andrew and Genevieve (Weninger) Striefel.

He was reared and educated in Anamoose, graduating with the class of 1952. He was united in marriage to Darlene Miller on October 4, 1958 in Mohall, ND. They made their home in Westhope, while Daniel was employed by the grain elevator for seventeen years. He also assisted area farmers for a number of years. They moved to Minot in 1999.

His loving family includes wife of 54 years, Darlene, Minot, daughter, Debra (Howard) Rebel, Boise City, OK; sister, Marceline Hoaglund, Anamoose, ND; brother, Wendlin Striefel, Minot and numerous nieces and nephews.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bernard Striefel.

At the request of the family, no formal services will be held.
