Daniel Lemer, 78, Minot, died Friday, March 05, 2021 at the Benedictine Living Center in Garrison.

Daniel was born August 17, 1942 in Drake to Ludwig and Magdalena (Volk) Lemer. He was raised and educated in county schools in rural Drake through the eighth grade.

Daniel assisted on the family farmstead in Lake George Township up until he was drafted into the U.S. Army on July 13, 1967. On November 18 ^th of that year Daniel married Ann Vetsch in St. Anthony's Church in Selz, ND. They made Minot their home in August of 1969. Daniel honorably served his country until his discharge on July 11, 1969.

Daniel was employed by Westlie Motor Co. in the Service Department for six months. He then was hired by Gamble-Robinson as a truck driver, a position which he held for the next 22 years. Daniel then continued in the position of truck driver at Dakota Drug for 15 more years, he retired in 2009.

Daniel enjoyed some pastimes throughout his life, which included doing puzzles, hunting fishing, and softball. He also loved the time he was able to spend at their lake home in Garrison with family and friends.

Daniel is survived by his wife of 53 years Ann; children, Keith (Corrina) Lemer, Max, Anita Lemer, Bismarck, Jerad (Lisa) Lemer, Sawyer, and Bradley (Stacey) Lemer, Minot; Grandchildren: Thea, Aden, Cohl, Seth, Maddy, Carter, Tyler, and Sean; Sisters, Gloria (Francis) Schneider, Minneapolis, MN, Agatha (Bill) Schlegel, Littleton, CO, and Lenora (Ron) Labrecque, Canton, GA; Brothers, George Lemer, Drake, Raymond (JoAnne) Lemer, Minot, Toby (Patty) Lemer, Pick City; Sister -in-law Judy Lemer, Drake.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ludwig and Lena Lemer; brother Adam Lemer; sister-in-law Elaine Lemer; Nephew Patrick Lemer; Father and Mother-in-law Fred and Eugenia Vetsch, and brother-in-law Gerald Vetsch.

Visitation: Wednesday, March 10, 2021 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.

Prayer Service: Wednesday, March 10 ^th at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.

Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.

Memorials can be made to Little Flower Catholic Church, Minot or the Parkinson's Foundation of Minnesota and the Dakotas.
