Dale LeGrand , 69, Minot, died Sunday, March 31, 2024 in a Fargo VA Medical Facility.

Dale was born May 13, 1954 in Alaska to Harold W. and Anne E. (Green) LeGrand. He was a proud member of the Gwichyaa Zhee Gwich'in Nation.

He enlisted in the US Army on July 7, 1971 in Virginia. Dale served honorably and was relieved from active-duty service and discharged on July 12, 1974.

Dale was once married to Mary Garder and was blessed with a son, Dale Jr. and later a daughter, Rebecca Ivy after a relationship with Ruby Griffith.

Dale was united in marriage to Claudette Lalonde on November 5, 2001. They made their home in Minot and enjoyed years of love and companionship. Claudette passed away on November 19, 2020.

Dale was a friend to many and was always willing to lend a hand to someone in need. He will be missed.

Dale is survived by stepson Jeff (Tycyn) Rodgers, Minot along with many caring friends and neighbors.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents and wife Claudette.

A sending service will be held this summer 2024.

Friends may sign a memorial register book on Friday, April 12, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
