Rev. Dale E. Carlson, 64, Stanwood, Washington, formerly of Minot, departed this life on Friday, April 5, 2013. He was the son of the late Edward Oliver and June (Reiner) Carlson, born on October 23, 1948 in Minot. Dale graduated from Minot State University in 1970 and from Lutheran Brethren Seminary, Fergus Falls, MN in 1973.

He married Kathy Wood June 6, 1970 in Minot and together they served at Lutheran Brethren Churches in Frontier, Saskatchewan; Edmonton, Alberta; Faribault, MN; Mayville, ND; Williston, ND; Blue Earth, MN; Stanwood, WA; and Bellingham, WA. Dale also minstered as a chaplain at both hospital and senior living settings in Washington.

Dale is survived by his wife Kathy, children: Andrew (Tracie) Carlson, Rochester, MN; Sara Carlson, Rochester, MN; Nathan (Fran) Carlson, Fargo, ND; grandchildren: Benjamin, Anna, Lydia, James, Marin, Julia, and Noah Carlson , Rochester, MN and Maggie and Peter Carlson, Fargo, ND. Siblings: Tari (Steve) Axness, Minot; LaDonna (Gary) Klimple, Logan; George (Sherry) Carlson, Minot; Joel (Lynn) Carlson, Minnesota; Randy (Carla) Carlson, Minot and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Memorial service: Friday, May 24 at 2 p.m. at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Brethren Church, Minot.
