Cynthia Germann , 66, Garrison, died Friday, January 7, 2022, in a Bismarck hospital surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with an aggressive cancer.
Cynthia was born February 12, 1955, in Dickinson, ND to Robert and Viola (Heinert) Germann. She spent the years of her youth in the sunshine of Riverside, California, graduating from Rubidoux High School in 1973.
Cynthia was once married to Stephen Clarke. This union was blessed with three boys, Robert, David and Stephen. They made their home in California until she returned to North Dakota in 1993.
Cynthia attended the University of Mary in Bismarck, earning her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. She spent the next 25 years of her life dedicated to her career as a registered nurse working for MedCenter One and Sanford Hospital.
Cynthia shared her life for a time with husband David Hoard.
Cynthia was a dedicated mother and grandmother, valuing deeply, time spent with her boys and grandchildren, whom she adored with all her heart. She enjoyed traveling the world and was always ready to plan her next adventure by plane or boat. Cynthia was a QVC shopaholic in her spare time and a self-proclaimed mother to three special needs cats. She will be forever remembered for her care of others and her love for her family.
Cynthia is survived by her sons SFC. Robert Clarke, Fountain, CO, David (Tahnia) Clarke, Sawyer, ND, and Stephen Clarke, Dickinson, ND; grandchildren Katelynn, Robert and Alexander Clarke; sisters Marcia Germann, Riverside, CA, DanNea Germann, Riverside, CA and Tami (Frank) Freas, Glendive, MT along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents.
Celebration of Cynthia's Life:
1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 10, 2022, in the Chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
