Crystal K. Boehm , 86, Minot, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 28, 2023.
Crystal was born April 26, 1936 in Westhope, ND, a daughter of Floyd and Anna (Stead) Howery. She was raised and educated in the Westhope/Antler, ND area. After her graduation, she attended Minot State College, where she earned her teaching degree in Elementary Education.
Crystal started her teaching career in Everett, WA and later returned to North Dakota. She continued teaching in Powers Lake, Donnybrook and Upham. Crystal finished her career in Dunseith as a teacher for Dunseith Day School. She was forever grateful for the lifelong relationships created with fellow educators, students and people within each community. Crystal loved teaching and always wanted her students to succeed.
After retiring, Crystal committed much of her time to her grandchildren and her faithful dog Jack, who was her constant companion. She spent the last four years at the Wellington Assisted Living, enjoying retirement without yard work. Crystal will be remembered as a woman ahead of her time. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends who loved her dearly and as an awesome grandma.

Crystal is survived by her daughter, Paris Boehm, sons Clark (Linda) and Nick (Jenny) Boehm; grandchildren Rio Boehm, Seth (Amanda) Boehm and Steeley Boehm; great-grandchildren Tanner and Ryker Boehm.
Crystal was preceded in death by a host of four-legged cats and dogs, which were loved and cared for throughout Crystal's many years!
A private graveside service will be held later in 2023 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to a local 'No Kill Animal Shelter'
