Creel Arneson, 86, 2121 5th Ave NW, Minot, died Monday, December 4, 2006, in a Minot nursing home.

Creel was born January 13, 1920, in Harlow, ND, to Christian and Lillian (Hofstrand) Arneson. He was raised and educated near Brinsmade, ND until his family moved to Minot. He graduated from Minot High School in 1937.

Creel was employed throughout southern California from 1942 until 2001 as a manufacturing engineer, living primarily in Duarte, California. Following retirement, he returned to Minot in 2001. He was united in marriage to Renita Heller on August 6, 2002, in Minot. They have made their home in Minot at 2121 5th Ave. NW for the past 4 years until Creel entered ManorCare Health Services on April 10, 2006.

Creel was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Minot. He was also a member of the Boys Order of Demolay. His interests included traveling, fishing, tennis and gardening, especially when it came to roses. He will be deeply missed by all who shared in his life.

She is survived by: Wife: Renita, Minot; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Creel was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Elda Hermanson, and brother, Del Arneson.

Memorial Service: Wednesday, December 6, 2006, at 3:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, Minot.
Visitation: One hour prior to the start of the memorial service at the church.
Memorials: Memorials are preferred to First Presbyterian Church, Minot.
