Obituary

Craig E. Saltsman, 54, Minot and formerly of Sturgis, SD, died Sunday, November 30, 2008, in a Minot hospital.

Craig was born November 12, 1954, in Minot, ND, the son of George J. and Mary (Prisizney) Saltsman. He attended grade school in Rugby and Minot. Craig completed junior high school at Jim Hill and would graduate from Minot High School in 1973. Craig attended Minot State College of Business and Minot State University.

Craig enlisted into the United States Navy on June 25, 1973 and was honorably discharged later that year with a medical disability.

Following his service he was a patient in several VA facilities including St. Cloud, MN and Fort Meade, SD. Craig enjoyed living in the Black Hills area of South Dakota. He moved back to Minot in 2001 to be near his family.

Craig's interests included watching old war movies and listening to music. He enjoyed several seasons of vacationing with his parents, which included destinations of Alaska, Washington, DC, Tucson, AZ and Las Vegas, NV.

Craig was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church and a life member of the American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans, all of Minot.

Surviving family includes: Mother: Mary Saltsman, Minot; Brothers: George (Susan) Saltsman, Minot, and William Saltsman, Bismarck, ND; three nephews and a niece.

Craig was preceded in death by his father, and maternal and paternal grandparents.

Funeral: Wednesday, December 3, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church, Minot.
Interment:
Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation:
Tuesday, December 2, 2008, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials:
Memorials are preferred to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), Minot.
