Cory Travis Alston , 24, of Minot, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2014.

He was born in Pasadena, TX, on July 4, 1990 to parents Matthew Alston and Sherry Liggett.

Cory was an avid movie buff, a Superman fan, and an exceptionally hard worker. He cared about helping everyone and was always giving of his heart and knowledge. He was a straightforward, honest man and a loving son and brother.

Cory is survived by his father, Matthew Alston; mother, Sherry Liggett; brothers, Michael, Matthew and Cody Alston; grandmother, Jill; aunt, Gina; many cousins and friends including: Haden Cargo, Cailey Reder, Brandon and Michelle Shafer, Kasey Breuer and Taylor Fowler, among many others.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jim Alston and uncle, Steve Alston.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
