Connie Marie Shevshenko , 67, Minot, died Sunday, March 6, 2022, in a Minot hospital.

Connie was born April 30, 1954, in Minot, ND to Curtis and Ellen (Forbes) Hedstrand. She grew up in Sawyer and graduated from Sawyer High School in 1973.

Connie was once married to Glenn Shevshenko Sr. They were blessed with two sons, Glenn Jr. and Shawn. They made their home in Minot, where Connie worked as a server and bartender in local establishments during her working years.

Connie kept her hands busy with crocheting but always enjoyed her time in the sunshine with a cold drink in her hand. She was a genuinely kind person who spent her life in service to others. She was proud of her sons and adored her granddaughter Kenley Rae. She will be missed deeply by all who were blessed to share in her life.

Connie is survived by her sons Glenn Shevshenko Jr. and Shawn Shevshenko, both of Minot; granddaughter Kenley Rae Brekhus, Minot; mother Ellen Hedstrand, Sawyer; siblings Brenda (Tom) Aasen, Minot, Lisa (Ken) Morgan, Moore, OK, Greg Hedstrand, Minot and Darwin (Flora) Hedstrand, Sawyer, ND along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Connie was preceded in death by her father, Curtis Hedstrand.

Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2022 at Thomas Family Funeral Home.
