Clifford Weedeman, 88, Minot, formerly of the Wabek area, died Friday, March 8, 2019 at his home in a Minot Assisted Living Facility.
Clifford was born September 26, 1930 at McAlmond in Mountrail County, North Dakota the son of Henry Paul and Jennie Lydia (Ulledahl) Weideman. He was raised and educated at Wabek and enlisted with the U.S. Air Force on December 31, 1948. He honorably served his country for more than 22 years during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He retired as a Senior Master Sergeant in 1971 after having served on the flight line at the Udorn Air Force Base in Thailand as a Flight-line Chief. He had received 2 good conduct medals, as well as the National Defense Service medal and Air Force Longevity Service Medal.
Clifford had once been married to Gloria DelConte of Atco, New Jersey. From this union four children were born. Clifford returned to North Dakota in 1976 to help care for his family in the Wabek area. He assisted with the operation of farms in that area. He had moved to Minot in 1977, where he had since lived.
Clifford was always willing to help out family and friends in North Dakota with whatever the job entailed.
Clifford is survived by: four children: Henry (Brenda) Weedeman, Moorestown, NJ, Daryl (Terri) Weedeman, Stafford, VA, Marietta (Mark) DiBartolomeo, Medford, NJ & Michele (Leo) Quinones, Shamong, NJ; grandchildren: Lindsay, Layton, Erik, Marissa, Taylor, Bryan, Bryanna, Ellie, Ava, Raquel and Sam; great granddaughter: Ila; multiple nieces, nephews and cousins.
Clifford was preceded in death by: parents, along with his brothers, Clayton, Earl & Lloyd Weedeman and a sister, Lois.
Celebration of Life service: Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Interment: Thursday, March 21st at 3:00 p.m. in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Visitation: At the request of family, there will not be a reviewal, however family and friends may sign the memorial register book on Wednesday from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
