Clifford Harvey Allen, 86, Minot, died Thursday, September 17, 2009, in a Minot healthcare center.

Clifford was born on September 17, 1923 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Howard and Faye Allen.

Clifford married Lois Huizenga in February of 1953. They made their home in Minot, where he was employed by the Great Northern Railroad as a brakeman for 31 years.

Clifford especially enjoyed traveling, fishing and hunting with his wife and children.

Surviving family includes: his wife of 56 years, Lois, children: Lee (Dorothy) Allen, Fargo, Ramona (John) Dockter, Mandan, Ardee Allen, Costa Mesa, CA; grandchildren: Forest, Brea, Alicia, and Trenton; 2 great grandchildren: Elena and Lucas Sisters: Faye Newton, CA, and Ramona (Tom) Maggiora, Camino, CA.

Clifford was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Howard and Robert.

Funeral service: Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at 11:00a.m. in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Minot.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation: Monday , September 21, 2009 from 2:00-7:00p.m. in the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to an organization of the donor's choice, ManorCare or Trinity Hospice, in lieu of plants and flowers.
