Obituary

Cleone Rollman, a cherished and beloved wife, family member and friend of many, departed from her family home on Saturday, June 21, 2014 surrounded by her family. Cleone, a lifelong resident of Granville, ND was born to Paul and Eunice (Orth) Woodall on the family farmstead near Granville, on Nov 10, 1940. After attending a small one roomed country school in her early years, Cleone graduated from Granville Public School in 1958. Shortly thereafter, she married her true love and lifelong partner of 55 years, Donald Rollman on November 16, 1958. The pair settled on a farm north of Granville and began their life story. Three daughters were born, followed by many grand and great grandchildren.

Throughout her life, Cleone was active in many community events and organizations and committees. She served as the historian for Vincent United Methodist Church of Minot for several years. In addition, the Order of Eastern Star, local and county 4-H, County Homemakers, Sexton for Granville Cemetery Board and played hand bells in her spare time. Having a love of writing, scrapbooking, cooking and history, she wrote and published a cookbook and a Commemorative Centennial book for the City of Granville. She loved painting, crafting, bowling, traveling, dancing, write poems, and tackling new challenges. The biggest challenge that she met, breast cancer, was handled with strength, courage, dignity and grace.

Cleone was never too busy to help or comfort a family member or friend in time of need. Her gentle and special adoptive spirit, poured into and influenced many nieces and nephews throughout their lives. Her thoughtfulness and kindness truly touched and changed the hearts and lives of everyone that she met and loved, and for that she will be dearly missed.

Cleone is survived by her loving husband, Donald Rollman, and loving family including, daughters, Wendy (Scott) Rupert, Des Lacs, ND, Ivy (Tim) Magnuson, Surrey, ND, Lisa (Kevin) Gault, Minot, ND, 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, sisters, Vonnie (Vernon) Julson, Key West, FL, Janice (Larry) Boutilier, Granville, ND and Marion (Roger) Dalen, Green Cove Springs, FL.

Cleone was blessed with a large family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and an abundance of friends and extended family. She cherished her friendships and family above all.

Cleone was preceded in death by her Parents, Brother Duane Woodall, and Great Grandson Hunter Klebe.

Funeral Service : Monday, June 30, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in First Lutheran Church, Granville.

Interment: Granville City Cemetery

Visitation: Sunday, June 29, 2014 from noon until 4:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
