Claude A. Wolfe, 94, died Sunday, October 24,2021 in a Minot Hospital.

Claude was born on July 19, 1927 in Rugby, North Dakota, the son of Joseph and Mary (Axtman) Wolfe. He was raised and educated in country schools near Silva and Baker, ND. After his education, he assisted with the operation of the family farmstead in Benson County until he purchased and operated the grocery store in Baker for several years.

Claude enlisted into active duty service with the U.S. Army on February 7, 1951 and served his country in Korea until receiving his honorable discharge on January 21, 1953. He was united in marriage to Mary Massine on November 29, 1951. They lived in South Carolina and Indiana while Claude completed his military service.

Claude and Mary made their home in Rugby for a short time where he was employed at the Rugby Creamery. They moved to Minot in 1964 where he was employed with Bridgeman Creamery as the ice cream foreman until retiring in 1989. Claude had most recently been a resident of Somerset Court Assisted Living Center.

Claude was a longtime member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church where he served as an usher for over 20 years. He was also a member of the Minot American Legion Post #26 and VFW Post #753, where he was active in the color guard. He had a deep love for his family and nothing made him happier than when they could all be together.  He was a great dancer and was always ready to play a game of pinochle. He loved tinkering in his workshop, fishing, and working in the yard and garden.

His loving family includes: Children, Pat (Randy) Burckhard, Minot; David (Kara) Wolfe, Coon Rapids, MN; John (Monica) Wolfe, Edgewood, WA; Rich (Laurie) Wolfe, Bismarck, ND and Ann (Gary) Pull, Maple Grove, MN.  Grandchildren, Jerica (Paul) Klein, Tifany (Brock) Teets, Jason (Andrea) Burckhard, Jennifer (Jason) Olson, Stephanie (Brian) Prange, Colin (Amber Donavan) Geil, Chelsey (Kenny Hornung) Wolfe, Lieu (Brian Spenser) Wolfe, Katie (Rob) Carvell, Rylan (Coralie Richard) Wolfe, Ashley (Jason) Vanselow, Zach (Kaitie Marsaa) Pull; 24 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews; Sister, Kathleen (Tom) Love, Gilbert AZ.

Claude was preceded in death by his wife Mary in 2014; his parents; siblings Joe, Albert, Victor, Victoria and infant twin sisters.

Mass of Christian Burial : Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. in St John The Apostle Catholic Church, Minot. A livestream of the service will be available by accessing https://www.mtmsales.net/thomas
Vigil Prayer Service: Friday, October 29 th at 7:00 p.m. in St John's Catholic Church, Minot.
Visitation : Friday, October 29 th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the Church.
