Clarice Adeline Schimmelpfennig, 91, Minot, formerly of the Ruthville area, died Saturday, October 23, 2010, in a Minot Nursing Home.

Clarice was born May 26, 1919 on the family farm near Glenburn, North Dakota, the daughter of Chris and Clara (Christianson) Olson. She was raised and educated at Glenburn and graduated from Glenburn High School in 1938.

Clarice was united in marriage to Lawrence Schimmelpfennig on September 4, 1938 at rural Glenburn.

Her loving family includes: children, Connie (Roger) Backes, Minot, Larry (Ilene) Schimmelpfennig, rural Minot and Clara Jeanne (Lee) Vigstol, rural Minot; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren; brother, Carmen (Donna Mae) Olson, Minot; sons-in-law: Roger Dozark, Denison, IA & Jim Kosse, Valley, WA; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Clarice was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughters, Darlene Dozark & Cynthia Kosse, sisters, Olga & Mabel; brothers, Ray, Hank & Milton and infant siblings, Gladys, Cora and Clarence.

Funeral service : Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in Lynch Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Minot.
Interment : Lynch Immanuel Cemetery, rural Minot.
Visitation: Wednesday from 2:00 - 7:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Trinity Hospice, the Cancer Care Cottage or an organization of the donor's choice.
