Clare H. Hutchinson, 88, Minot, died Saturday, May 9, 2015 in a Minot nursing home.

Clare was born August 2, 1926 on the family farm near Harvey, North Dakota, the daughter of John and Ida (Seefeld) Hager. She was raised near Harvey and Coleharbor until the family moved to Minot, where she was educated and graduated from St. Leo's Catholic High School.

Clare was united in marriage to William "Douglas" Hutchinson in 1958. They made their home in Minot throughout the years, where they raised their two children and she was employed at Monigen Credit and later with First Western Bank, where she served as a secretary to Jack Hoeven. Doug died in 1992.

Clare was a member of the Catholic Faith. She enjoyed spending weekends with her family at their lake cabin at Lake Audobon throughout the years. She was a talented musician and had the ability to play the piano, accordion, harmonica and eukelele. She also enjoyed gardening, working in her yard, fishing and playing cards.

Her loving family includes: children, Ross Hutchinson, Minot and Penny Hutchinson of Chicago, IL; four grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Causey, Montrose, CO and her caregiver, Jenny Hawkins of Minot.

Clare was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sisters, Irene, Lorna, and Rose.

A private family service was held in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.
