Clara Irene VanCamp, 93, longtime Minot resident, died Sunday, December 6, 2009 in a Minot Nursing Home.

Clara was born April 18, 1916 at Minot, North Dakota, the daughter of Roy and Margaret (Shaver) VanCamp. She was raised and educated at Minot, graduated from Minot High School, and attended Minot Business College.

Throughout the years, Clara was employed locally with Dakota Transfer from 1940-1950, and later with First National Bank from 1951-1981. Clara lived with her sister, Sylvia for a number of years, until her death in 2008. She was a longtime member of First Assembly of God Church, Minot, where she was active with the Women's Ministry group and Sunday School department for a number of years.

Clara enjoyed cats and at one time had a golden retriever. She was well known in her church for being a "prayer warrior" .

Her loving family includes: several cousins.

Funeral service: Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in Trinity Homes Chapel, Minot.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation: Tuesday from 2:00-7:00pm in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to an organization of the donor's choice.
