Christopher Solar , 39, Minot, died Tuesday, November 21, 2023 in his parent's home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Christopher was born in Minot, North Dakota on June 5, 1984. He was raised in the Minot area and attended Eureka, Campus Lab, and Our Redeemer's schools. During his youth, Christopher excelled in competitive gymnastics and acrobatic tumbling.

Christopher worked in Minot and Bismarck restaurants, snow removal, landscaping, and carpeting/flooring.  In 2021, a permanent back illness left him unable to work.

Chris enjoyed the outdoors, whether it was helping build a butterfly trail, joining in a dinosaur dig, or hunting and fishing with family and friends.  His rucksack is ready for his next adventure.

He was extremely proud of his sister and brother, and loved his nephews as his own.

"Whoever does God's will is my brother and sister and mother."

Survived by parents, sister Katy (Ben) Dahl of Minot, brother Adam (Shelby) Solar of Grand Forks, uncles Ken Mattson, Marty Mattson, Mike (Holly) Mattson, all of Minot, James (Carmen) Solar of Bellingham, Washington.  Also survived by several cousins and nephews.

Preceded in death by Grandparents, George and Jane Solar, Jack and Nancy Mattson, aunt, Amanda Mattson, uncle, Michael Earl Solar, cousin Amy Marie Solar.
