Christine Green, 68, of Cheyenne, WY, formerly of Minot, died Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at a Cheyenne hospital.
Christine "Chris" Green was born in Minot ND on February 6th, 1948 to Vernon and Jeanette (Kotchian) Marshall. Chris attended high school in Minot, graduating in 1966. On June 17, 1967, she married William "Bill" Green. They made their home in Minot, where they raised their 3 children.
Chris had a couple different jobs during her time in Minot. She loved working at Minot Floral, where she came up with her beloved email address "PurpleFlowerLady." She also enjoyed various gaming jobs, which including dealing blackjack. Chris retired in the late 1990's due to her rheumatoid arthritis, which prevented her from enjoying these jobs she truly loved.
In 2006, she was deeply saddened by the loss of her husband. In 2013, after 66 years of living in Minot, Chris chose to leave the harsh winters and move to Cheyenne to be close to her daughter Wendy, and her family. She really enjoyed her time in Cheyenne, living in her beautiful condo and being able to engage in social time with her condo neighbors, playing bingo, and attending card making clubs. But, her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, whom she loved more than anything.
She is survived by her son, Brad (Tracy) Green of Minot ND; daughter, Wendy (Robert) Bails; brother, Wayne (Audrey) Marshall of Minot; sister, Pamela (Jeffrey) Sedler of Mayville, ND; grandchildren, Brock Green, Madisyn Bails, Gabrielle Green, Nick Bails, Cierra Bails and 6 great-grandchildren.
