Christie Pietsch , 60, Minot, died Friday, July 26, 2024, in a Minot hospital.

Christie was born March 1, 1964, in Bottineau, ND to Roger and Rose (Piatz) Vedquam. She spent the years of her youth in the Landa area and graduated from Bottineau High School in 1982.

Christie was once married to Robert Larson.  She was blessed in this life as a daughter, sister, mother, aunt and friend.

She married Timothy Pietsch on February 4, 1998 in Minot, where they made their home. Together they enjoyed fishing and camping with many summer memories made at the Piatz family cabin on Lake Metigoshe. Christie also enjoyed gardening and canning the fruits of her hard work. She was a great steward of all the chickens, sheep and horses on her hobby farm she loved so much.  She will be remembered for her caring, kindness and firecracker attitude along with her unconditional love for her family and friends.

Christie is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Tim Pietsch, Minot; children Katie Payne, Minot, Laramie (Karl) Buechler, Towner and Wyatt Larson, Minot; sister Heather (Brett) Frank, Ainsworth, Iowa and brother Scott (Sheila) Vedquam, Fargo, ND along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Christie was preceded in death by her parents and stepson Paul Pietsch.
