Charles E. Walker , 89, Minot, formerly of Oscoda, MI, died Thursday, April 17, 2025, in a Minot assisted living facility.

Charles was born March 15, 1936, in Dickinson, West Virginia to Howard Lee and Willie Mae (Selby) Walker.

Charles served his country honorably for 22 years in the United States Air Force, fulfilling his desire to see the world. After his military service, he found his niche in the restaurant industry, working in various capacities for many years. He was a jack of all trades and was deeply missed when he retired.

Charles was united in marriage to Barbara Garrant in August of 1958. They lived a life blessed with many memories of love and laughter over their 55 years together.  In 2013, Barbara passed away in Oscoda, Michigan.

Charles is survived by his daughter Janice Harvey; son Kyle (Melissa) Walker; granddaughter Allison (Travis) Waswick; great-grandchildren Madeline, Aubrey, Emily and Levi along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law Robert Harvey and siblings Anna Lee, Hallie, Virginia 'Runt', Howard, Kenneth, Donald and Robert 'Bodie'.
