Obituary

Charles "Charlie" Bryant Bolte, 24, Minot, died Monday, May 14, 2012 unexpectedly at his home.

Charlie was born November 30, 1987 at Minot, the son of E.F. "Ted" and Nancy (Hustad) Bolte. He was raised and educated at Minot, graduating from Minot High School with honors in 2006. His first job was working at the Ward County Library. He felt his greatest high school achievement was playing the part of Franklin Delano Roosevelt in the senior class play, Annie. Following graduation, Charlie was a member of a school group that toured England for 10 days.

After two years as a student at Minot State University and a year of working at the Minot Daily News, Charlie fulfilled a special dream and returned to the British Isle and spent a month touring England, Ireland and Wales during the spring of 2010.

Charles was baptized at Faith United Methodist Church and was currently a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ, both Minot.

Charlie is survived by parents; brothers, Corporal (USMC) Kenneth (Kyla) Bolte & Matthew Bolte of Minot; sisters, Jodi (Loren) Nelson, Devils Lake, ND and Jeannie Bolte, Duluth, MN. He enjoyed being Uncle Charlie to nephews, Michael and Eric Nelson of Devils Lake, Azriel Bolte, Duluth and niece, Jaim'ee Bolte, Minneapolis, MN.

Charlie was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joyce & Jim Hustad, Minot and paternal grandparents, Kenneth & Beatrice Bolte, Fargo.

Funeral service : Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Congregational United Church of Christ, Minot, conducted by his lifelong friend, Pastor Mendle Adams of Cincinnati, OH and longtime Minot Pastor Gilbert Pearson.

Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot

Visitation : Monday from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.

In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials are preferred to the Shriner's Crippled Children's Hospitals.
