Chad Schoenborn , 45, Minot died on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 in a Minneapolis hospital with his family at his side.

Chad was born on August 17, 1970 in Minot to Bernhart "Berny" and LaVonne "Vonnie" (Medalen) Schoenborn. He was reared and educated in Minot and graduated from Minot High School in 1988. He continued his education at Minot State University where he majored in Business and Finance. During his high school and college years he was employed at Piggly Wiggly/SunMart Grocery Stores.

Chad was once married to Heather Wohlk and they were the proud parents of three sons. They made their home in Minot where he was the owner and operator of Magic Spas prior to becoming a licensed real estate appraiser. He and his father owned and operated Schoenborn Appraisal Services in Minot.

Chad married Mica Craft of Stanley, ND on November 9, 2012 at Fort Lauderdale, FL. They made their home in Minot and Chad welcomed Mica's daughter, Reagan, into his family. In addition to living and working in Minot, Chad especially enjoyed the time he and his family spent at Lake Metigoshe; pontooning, jet skiing and making memories around the campfire.

Chad was a member of First Lutheran Church and the Minot Hockey Boosters and especially enjoyed family get-togethers and holiday gatherings.

Chad's loving family includes his wife: Mica; children: Alex, Matthew and Lucas; stepdaughter: Reagan; parents: Berny and Vonnie Schoenborn of Minot; sister: Candy (Billy) Johnson of Minot; mother-in-law and father-in-law: Shelly and Mike Craft of Stanley; in-laws: Jamie and Randy Conway and their daughters of Minot and Alex and Morgan Craft and their son of Stanley; niece and nephew: Breanne and Josh Sattler and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Chad was preceded in death by his grandparents: Emil and Adolphine Schoenborn and John and Ruth Medalen.

Celebration of the Life of Chad Schoenborn: Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in First Lutheran Church Minot.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park Minot.
Visitation: Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home Minot.
Memorials are preferred to the Minot Hockey Boosters, Metigoshe Ministries or the donor's choice.
