Obituary

Chad Everett Hiller , 38, Minot, went to be with our Lord, Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis, MN, due to heart failure.

Chad was born April 12, 1972, at Dixon, Illinois, the son of Don and Barbara (Johnson) Hiller. He moved with his mom and stepfather to Texas, where he graduated from Plano High School in 1990. Following graduation, he moved to Minot to work with his father at J&D Home Improvement.

Chad began working with Midcontinent Communications in 1993 and became the Field Engineer for their local operations. He was previously married to Lisa Shelkey. From this union they had four children: Dayne, Austin, Chase and Tifany.

Chad was an avid softball, golf, dart, and pool player. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and was an excellent cook. He was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

His loving family includes : children, Dayne, Austin, Chase and Tifany Hiller, all of Minot; special companion and significant other, Malena Kee; father and stepmother, Don (Kathy) Hiller, Minot, ND; mother and stepfather, Barb (Jack) Jehn, Mesa, Arizona; brothers, Travis Hiller, Brett Hiller and Cody Hiller, all of Minot, ND; sisters, Tori Lynn (Brad) Johnson, Lilburn, Georgia, Elise (Chris) Ackermann, Sugar Hill, Georgia; grandparents, Junior & Gladys Hiller, Granville, ND; Burnell & Alice Johnson, Underwood, ND; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends, Darryl Kaylor and Shelly Gotvaslee.

Funeral service: Tuesday, October 26, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. in Christ Lutheran Church, Minot.
Interment: Granville Community Cemetery.
Visitation: Monday, October 25, 2010, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
In lieu of flowers or plants, the family prefers memorials be designated to an account at Bremer Bank in Minot that has been established to benefit his children.
