Chad Jeremy Dion , 42, of Minot, ND, passed away on December 2, 2024 at his home.

Chad was born November 29, 1982 in Minot, ND, the son of Dennis Dion and Jan Steffan (Reis).

Chad graduated from Minot High School in 2001, and went on to College at Minot State University, where he earned a degree in Chemistry.

Chad and his former spouse, Alexis McClure, married on April 17, 2011 in Jamaica with close family and friends, later celebrating with a reception that summer in Minot. They were blessed with their first child, a beautiful daughter, Autumn, in October of 2012. In July of 2018, they welcomed their second beautiful daughter, Leah. Chad really loved his girls and was happiest when he was around them. Their favorite things to do together were playing board games, video games, drawing and coloring, watching movies and cooking together.

Chad started working for Baker Hughes in 2013 as an Automation Technician. He was most recently promoted to an Automation Sales Manager in 2018.

Chad especially loved to be around family and was always quick with a comeback to anything you threw his way. He had a way of making everyone in the family laugh with his goofy sayings, or his "Donald Duck voice." He was very talented and loved drawing, playing guitar, golfing with his siblings, listening to music, playing video games, and being with his kids. Chad will be remembered most for the ways he loved and cared deeply.

Remaining to cherish Chad's memory are his daughters, Autumn and Leah Dion; parents, Dennis (Wendi) Dion, Janice (Rusty) Steffan; siblings, Eric (Megan) Dion, Amber (Cole) Hinderscheid; nephews, Jack Dion, Calvin Hinderscheid; nieces Lenna Dion, Charlotte Hinderscheid; grandfather Floyd Dion; grandmother, Bernie Reis; godfather, Jim Reis and godmother, JoAnn Roberts; his ex-wife Alexis McClure, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Preceding Chad in death are grandfather, John Reis; grandmother, Luella Dion; cousins, Ryan Bullinger, Lucas Kunz, Jessica Meuchel, Cade Horner, Ty Horner, Carter Kunz, and Jennifer Paoloozi Vetsch.

Funeral Service will be on Friday, December 13, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Leo The Great Roman Catholic Church, with visitation an hour before the service in the church.
