Obituary

Catherine J. Timblin Bail, 58, Minot, died Friday, February 13, 2009, in a Minot hospital.

Catherine was born December 14, 1950 in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Myles F. and Ann (Murphy) Timblin. She was raised and educated in Delano, Minnesota during her youth.

Catherine was once married to Bert Jordan Sr. in 1969. This union was blessed with a son, Bert Jordan Jr. They made their home in Minot and Bottineau, where she attained her GED through the Minot Adult Learning Center.

Catherine returned to Minot in the early 1970's and was later blessed with the birth of a daughter, Crystal. She began work as a bartender at Stockmen's Bar of Minot and continued her employment for over 25 years while residing in Minot. She moved to Coon Rapids, MN with her family in 1983 and resided there until settling back in Minot in 1993.

Catherine began part-time work at Community Action in commodities distribution for the next five years in addition to her work as a bartender. Ill health forced her to retire.

Catherine enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, playing cards and watching pro wrestling on television every week. She will always be known as "Mom" to many people because of her caring way with people and unconditional love of her family, whom she adored.

Surviving family includes: Daughter: Crystal Grinstead, Minot; Son: Bert (Alicia) Jordan Jr. - Grand Forks, ND; Grandchildren: Tyler and Carly Grinstead; Sisters: Diane Murphy, Delano, MN, Trish (Gordie) Nygard, Mounds View, MN and Judy (Jerry) Hammer, Surrey, ND; Brother: Jim (Patty) Timblin, Pleasanton, CA; nieces: Marie, Lisa, Sarah, Amy, Bobbi, Kelli, Tina and Casey; and nephews: Jason, Ryan, Cody and Cory.

Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister, Sue, brother, Myles Jr. "Butch" Timblin, grandmother, Ester Murphy and Bert Jordan Sr.

Funeral: Tuesday, February 17, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. at Hope Lutheran Church, Surrey, ND.
Interment:
Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.
Visitation:
Monday, February 16, 2009, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
