Carolyn R. Loeffelbein , 93, formerly of Minot, died Thursday, January 20, 2022, in a Helena, MT, nursing home.

Carolyn was born December 28, 1928, in Zap, ND, to Theophil and Elizabeth (Herrmann) Reiner. She spent her childhood on the family farm north of Zap and graduated from Zap High School in 1947.  After graduation Carolyn found employment at the local grocery store.

Carolyn was united in marriage to Gerhardt Loeffelbein on October 12, 1950, in Zap.  Their first years together took them to Williston, Pick City, Helena, Chicago, and in 1957 to Minot.  In 1963 Carolyn was employed by Minot State College to supervise the food service department until her retirement in 1992.

Carolyn was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Minot, where she was active in the Lutheran Women's Missionary League and the Quilter's Guild. Her hobbies included sewing, cooking, quilting, fishing, and traveling the United States, but her greatest joy was spending time with family playing games around the dining room table. Carolyn will be remembered for her warm smiles, love of family, and her willingness to help anyone in need.

Carolyn is survived by her daughters Linda (Pat) Lynch, Helena, MT and JoAnn (Dean) Glasoe, Albuquerque, NM; 4 grandchildren, Kellie (Steve) Guariglia, Mitch (Heather) Lynch, Melissa (Corey) Helgeson and Eric (Kathleen) Glasoe; and 9 great-grandchildren, Thomas, Katherine, Jackson, Bennett, Eli, Kendra, Caleb, Isabella, and Payton.  She is survived by siblings Eleanor Becker, Beulah, ND, Norma Sailer, Beulah, ND and Rev. Darold (Janelle) Reiner, Kalispell, MT as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband Gerhardt, her parents, and her brother Orville Reiner.
