Carole Barbara Hoadley, 83, Minot, died Friday, May 31, 2013 in her home.
Carole was born on December 2, 1929 in Gladstone, Michigan to John and Mary (Arrowood) Hendrickson. She was raised and educated in Gladstone, graduating from Gladstone High School in 1947. She continued her education, attending Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, Iowa. As a young adult Carole was employed as a secretary in Mount Vernon, by the American Red Cross in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and at Collins Radio and as an associate editor for the Stamates Publishing Company.
Carole was once married to Owen Hoadley. They made their home in Iowa. She attended the University of Iowa and earned her Master's Degree in Psychology and except for writing her thesis, had almost earned her Doctorate. Following her graduation she was employed at Northwest Missouri College in Marysville, MO as a faculty member in the counseling and guidance department for three years. She continued as an educator at Minot State University until beginning work for the Bureau of Indian Affairs until her retirement in 1994.
Carole was a member of the Protestant Faith and the American Psychological Association. She especially enjoyed reading, artwork and painting in her free time.
Her loving family includes a brother, Donald (Betty) Hendrickson of Gladstone, MI and two nephews Keith (Linda) Hendrickson, Gladstone, MI and Dale (Tammy) Hendrickson, Brussels, WI.
Carole was preceded in death by her parents.
Carole requested there not be a service.
