Obituary

Carol Wright, 66, Minot, died Wednesday, November 9, 2016, in a Minot hospital.

Carol was born September 26, 1950, to Harold and Mary (Smith) Gayne in Skowhegan, Maine. She grew up and was educated through high school in Skowhegan.

Carol was once united in marriage to Rene Gagne and Stuart Wright. These unions blessed their family with three children. They lived in Jay, Maine and enjoyed living on the farm. Carol worked in the service industry.

In 1997, Carol followed her son's military career to Minot, ND. Carol was united in marriage to Ronald Tribitt April 5, 2002 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Minot. She completed certified nurses' aide training and began her employment at Trinity Homes. Carols' health caused her to retire from aide work at the nursing home, but her cancer diagnosis did not define her. She went to work at the Salvation Army Thrift Store via the Experience Works program in Minot. She loved to be with people.

Throughout the years, Carol carried memberships to St. Paul's and Our Savior Lutheran Church and attended First Baptist Church of Minot. She was involved over the years in many bible studies, tending of flowers at St. Paul's and many other activities of the church. She loved to take in the Word. She was active in the Relay 4 Life campaign against cancer for many years and was known for her generous and feisty spirit. Carol loved animals and fostered many pets during her lifetime. She will be missed by all who were fortunate to share in her life.

Her surviving family includes, son, Michael (Dorine) Wright, Jay, ME; stepsons, William (Tina) Wright, Gray, Maine and Paul (Tracy) Wright, Scarborough, Maine; grandchildren, Shawn and Adriana Wright, LaToya Wright, and Alex, Cassidy and Tyler Wright and Brittney (Scott) Braaten; Six great-grandchildren; former spouse and caregiver, Ronald Tribitt, Minot; sister-in-law, Renee (Craig Bloms) Tribitt, Minot; brother-in-law, Robert Tribitt, Grimes, IA and numerous nieces and nephews, including those very close to her: Bonnie Guay, Candace Gayne, and Ashley and Danielle Bloms.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Virginia and Mary and brothers, Joseph, Harold, Carl and Jean.

Memorial Service: Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in First Baptist Church, Minot.
Visitation: One hour prior to the start of the service at the church.
Memorials are preferred to organizations devoted to Cancer research and finding a cure.
