Carol J. Schultz, 92, lifelong Minot resident, died Saturday, December 30, 2017 in a Minot Hospital.
Carol was born November 16, 1925 in Minot, North Dakota the daughter of Carl and Jennie (Teuben) Lauber. She was raised and educated in Minot and graduated from Minot High School in 1943. She attended Minot Business College and was employed with Trinity Hospital from 1943-1946.
Carol was united in marriage to the love of her life, Edward C. Schultz on August 25, 1945 in Minot. They were blessed with three children, Richard, Tim and Patti. In addition to raising their three children, she was regained employment at Trinity Hospital from 1959 until 1987, working in the business office as supervisor in the collections department. Edward died May 24, 2008. Carol had continued to make her home in Minot after his death.
Carol was a longtime member of First Lutheran Church, Minot and was active with church circles and volunteering within the church. She was also a member of Trinity Auxiliary, where she also served on the board of directors. She was 1 of 5 people who personally funded the Minot Vocational Workshop. Carol enjoyed reading, playing scrabble along with playing bingo with the tenants of Dakota Terrace Apartments.
Her loving family includes, son, Timothy (Paula) Schultz, Federal Way, WA; daughter, Patti (Kim) Sando, Langdon, ND; 6 grandchildren to include: Rebecca, Eugene, Alex, Austin, Mandi, and David 6 great grandchildren to include: Jessica, Cole, Bailey, Preston, Briana, and Chad along with many nieces and nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edward, son, Richard, sisters Rose, Hilda, Ethel, Lavonne, Myrtle and Mae; brothers, Raymond, Leon, Earl, Don and Al.
Celebration of Life Service: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 4, 2018 at First Lutheran Church, Minot.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation: Wednesday, January 3, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to First Lutheran or Second Story.
