Carol A. Schuh, 74, Norwich, formally of Lakota, North Dakota, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, October 11, 2012.

Carol was born August 11, 1938 to Eugene and Bernadette (Duchesneau) Carlson. She was raised and educated in Lakota, North Dakota, graduating from Lakota High School in 1956.

On Septmeber 22, 1958 Carol married Richard Schuh. To this blessed union four children were born. Growing up one of six children herself, Carol knew how important family was, and instilled this into her children. The family resided in Minnesota until they relocated to Norwich in September 1978. Carol worked as a waitress and a bar tender for many years, working at such places as Cedar Inn, Fortune Cookie, as well as Crossroads Truck Stop. Carol and Richard also owned Jackies Caf as well as Big 2.

Richard passed away in September of 1984, Carol continued to reside in the family home in Norwich.

Carol enjoyed painting and drawing. This was evident by the numerous pieces of artwork that hung on the walls of the family home. In her spare time, Carol enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, working on crossword puzzles, as well as taking care of her many animals; most of whom were strays that just knew a loving home when they saw one. Carol had a wonderful sense of humor and could make just about anyone laugh.

Left to mourn her passing are; sisters: Trudy (Quentin) Weigel of Minot, Barbara (Elvin) Johnson of Lakota, brother: Robert Carlson of Fargo. Daughter: Cherly Amundson of Fort Collins, CO and son: John Schuh of Norwich; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and countless friends. Carol will be greatly missed by all whose lives had been touched by hers.

Preceding Carol in death are; her parents, her loving husband Richard, two brothers, John and Richard, son; Russell Schuh daughter; Richelle Pruitt and granddaughter Dail Amundson.

A Liturgy of the Word Service is scheduled for Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 1:00p.m. at Thomas Family Funeral Home Chapel, Minot.
