Obituary

Carol Lee Kendrick, 56, Minot died on Saturday in her home with her family at her side and following a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

Carol was born on July 7, 1957 in Little Falls, MN to Glen and Marie (Lee) Lattimer. She was reared in several places, but primarily in Little Falls, MN and graduated from Little Falls High School in 1975. She continued her education at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1981.

Carol enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in September of 1984. She graduated from the NCO Preparatory Leadership School where she received the Top Graduate Award. She continued her education at the NCO Academy where she received the John Levito Award for the Strategic Air Command at Eielson AFB 1991 in Alaska. She served in the Desert Storm and Desert Shield military campaigns prior to her honorable discharge in October of 1994.

Carol married Robert R. Kendrick II on October 1, 1988 in Colorado Springs CO and on December 21, 1995 in Omaha NE. They made their home at various places including Myrtle Beach, SC; Colorado Springs, CO; Eielson AFB, Alaska (twice); Offutt AFB NE; where Carol retired and Minot AFB, ND. They had continued to reside in Minot after Robert retired from the U.S. Air Force IN 2009.

Carol was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Minot and a former member of Missouri Synod Lutheran Churches in the communities where the family resided. She especially enjoyed crocheting, knitting rugs, crossword puzzles, bird watching and playing with her grandson, Rylan James.

Carol is survived by her loving husband of 26 years Robert Kendrick; children: Samuel, Rachel and Katie Kendrick; grandson: Rylan James Kendrick-Doty ; brother: Marvin (Kathy) Lattimer of Marshfield WI; in-laws: Linda Lattimer of Rochester, MN; Tom Mitchell of Lynchburg, VA, Toni Dunham of Moneta, VA, Marcus (Melanie) Kendrick of Clover SC; nieces and nephews: Adam(Marisa) and Amber (Guillermo Garcia) Lattimer, Amanda (Jeff) Reynolds and Maxwell and Alex Turner.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents and brothers: Steve and Willis Lattimer.

Funeral Service: Friday, December 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Paul's Lutheran Church - Minot.
Interment will be in Rosehill Memorial Park - Minot.
Visitation: Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home - Minot.
Memorials are preferred to the Kendrick family.
