In Loving Memory of Carol Mae Davis (Overby)

A Life of Love, Creativity, and Generosity

Carol Mae Davis (Overby) , a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend, passed peacefully in the presence of her family, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and creativity that touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Carol shared 65 wonderful years of marriage with her loving husband, Lowell "Butch" Davis. Together, they built a family grounded in love and acceptance, fostering an environment where everyone felt welcome. Her home was always open, and her table was a place where strangers became friends, and family expanded to include the many loved ones her children and grandchildren brought into their lives.

Carol was the heart of her family, a skilled seamstress, an incredible crafter, and a talented baker whose creations brought joy to every gathering. Her gardens were a source of pride and sustenance, and she shared her love of gardening, cooking, and canning with her children and grandchildren, teaching them to nurture both plants and dreams.

No one could beat Carol at a game of Scrabble—her sharp mind and modest competitive spirit made her a formidable opponent. Her encouragement and belief in her family inspired them each to pursue their goals and reach for the stars, knowing they always had her unwavering support.

Carol is survived by her devoted husband and her extensive and loving family, who were her greatest joy.
