Carla Ann Lee , 61, Minot, formerly of Wolford, ND, died of cancer on Monday, September 22, 2014 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

Carla was born October 1, 1952 at Rolla, North Dakota the daughter of Dick and Babe (Jolliffe) Benson. She was raised on the family farm near Wolford and graduated from Wolford High School. She continued her education at Minot State University, where she received a Medical Technology degree.

Carla was united in marriage to Don Lee on March 15, 1975 at Mylo, North Dakota. They made their home in Minot throughout the years, where Carla was employed as a medical technologist. First with Medical Arts Clinic for more than 25 years, then with St Joseph's Hospital and later with Trinity Hospital in Minot.

Carla was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot, where she was active with a Women's Circle group and the church's Prayer partners. She was also a member of the Minot Soccer Board and a grateful member of Al-Anon.

Her loving family includes , husband of 39 years, Don; daughters, Rebecca (Tracy Tarr) Lee, Minneapolis, MN, Emily Lee, Minneapolis, MN; parents, Dick & Babe Benson, Wolford; brothers, Rick Benson, Jamestown, ND, Randy (Kathy) Benson, Bisbee and Dean (Klang) Benson, Wolford; several nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life service : Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot.
At her request, Carla's body will be donated to the University of North Dakota's Deeded Body Program in Grand Forks.
A Visitation will take place at Don and Carla's residence, located at 328 10th Ave S.E. Minot on Friday from Noon until 9:00 p.m.
Memorials are preferred to an organization of the donor's choice.
