Carey L. (Klein) Kraft, 54, Burlington, died Monday, September 08, 2014, in her home.

Carey was born February 14, 1960, in Minot, ND to Pius and Janice (Jahner) Klein. She grew up and was educated in Minot graduating in 1978 from Minot High School. Carey furthered her education by enrolling in the architect program at Lake Region Community College in Devils Lake, ND.

Carey was united in marriage to Dale Kraft on February 15, 1980 in Minot. They made their life together in Minot for the next 34 years. They had two daughters, Kausha and Jessica. Carey was employed at Marketplace Foods in the meat department for many years. Her health forced an early retirement.

Carey attended Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot.

Carey enjoyed the outdoors as a gateway to fishing, camping, and photography. She could often be found gardening, reading Stephen King books, and playing with her beloved pets, Buck and Star. Carey was a talented artist, blessing many with her drawing talent. She also enjoyed traveling to the West Coast and Las Vegas with her husband.

Carey's loving family includes her loving husband of 34 years, Dale Kraft, Burlington; daughters, Kausha Bakk, Minot and Jessica Kraft, Richland, WA; grandchildren, Adriana, Haden and Rylan Bakk, Kyla and Dasani Pausig and Sophie Torrez; parents, Pius and Janice Klein, Bismarck , ND; sisters, Bonnie (James) Journagan, California, Penny (Jason) Gregory, Minot, ND and Vicki (John) Archer, Richland, WA; brother, Marty Klein, Napa Valley, CA and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Carey was preceded in death by her grandparents Mary and Theodore Jahner and Mary and Marcus Klein.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 15, 2014, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot, ND.
Visitation: There will be no reviewal, however, family and friends are invited to sign a memorial register book one hour prior to the start of the service.
Memorials: In lieu of plants and flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Jude's Cancer Care.
