Brian Marten, 51, formerly of rural Max and Minot died on Sunday February 3, 2019 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Colorado Springs, CO.

Brian was born on January 29, 1968 in Grand Forks. He was the son of George and Diana Marten. He was raised on the Marten family farm north of Max and attended South Prairie and Minot schools. He attained his G.E.D. as a young adult.

Brian married Theresa Lorntson on August 6, 1989 at Saron Lutheran Church - rural Minot. They made their home in Fargo and Minot where he was employed as a construction worker and they were the parents of Justyn, Curtis and Krystal. Most recently he had resided in Lexington, Kentucky and Colorado Springs, CO where he was self-employed as a painter.

Brian is survived by: Terri; his children: Justyn, Curtis and Krystal; 5 grandchildren: Dakota, Ayden, Kaleb, Magnolia and Hope; parents: George and Diana Marten; brother: Bruce (Joey) Marten and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Funeral Service: Friday, February 15, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Home.
Interment: Gasman Township Cemetery in the Spring.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
