Brent Morey, 72, Minot died suddenly on February 24, 2025 at his Winter residence in Destin, Florida.

Brent was born on May 1, 1952 in Minot, ND to Bruce and Clara (Anderson) Morey.  He was raised on the family farm in Sundre Township of Ward County Southeast of Minot.  Brent attended Logan Elementary and Minot Model schools prior to graduating from Minot High School.  He continued his education at the North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton where he received specialized training in plumbing.  As a young adult he was involved in the family farming operation and worked as a journeyman plumber when he lived in Atlanta, Ga.

Brent married Victoria Glennon on July 1, 1976 in Atlanta.  They made their home in Atlanta prior to returning to Minot in 1979.  In 1982 they moved to the Morey Centennial Homestead Farm which was established in 1906.  Brent was self-employed as a farmer and drove truck for various companies.  He retired from farming in 2006 and for the past 10 years they have spent the Winter months in the Panhandle of Florida.

Brent always found time to take his children, during their teen years, to Minot Trail Riders activities and trap shooting events between farming and trucking. Following his retirement, Brent's favorite activities were taking his nine grandkids on pontoon rides at the lake or spending endless hours driving them around the family farm on his ATV. In the summer months, he and Victoria would spend hours relaxing on their canopy swing enjoying each other's company, nature and even an occasional bonfire. He especially enjoyed the companionship of his 2 black Labs: Laddie and Lacey who were always at his side.

Brent was a former member of First Lutheran Church and the Minot Eagles.

Brent's loving family includes his wife of 48 years Victoria; children: Rebecca (Chad) Taylor of Colorado Springs, CO, Derek (Cari) Morey and Kyle (Jessica) Morey, all of Minot; grandchildren: Tyler, Logan, Paxton, Natalie, Naomi, Alanah, Saul, Olivia and Everett; sister: Janet (Stan) Bates of Cummings GA; nieces: Michelle Tisdale, Suzanne Pitz and Danielle Pasley and in-laws: Chris and Mark Glennon, Deborah McBride and Theresa Farrow.

Brent was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws: Elizabeth and Gilbert Glennon.
