Brady Viktor Elder, 60, Garrison and formerly of Minot died on Friday on arrival at a Garrison hospital.

Brady was born on May 1, 1955 in Bismarck, ND, to Ray and Margot (Hojczyk) Elder. He was reared and educated in Williston and Billings, MT, where he graduated from high school. He continued his education at Montana State University for two years prior to entering the U.S. Navy.

Brady was once married to Becky Hoeven whom he married on June 23, 1984 in Minot. They made their home in Minot where Brady was employed by the Leferbure Safe Company prior to establishing Northern Safe Company in 1990. He semi-retired in 2009 and moved to Garrison in 2012.

Brady was a former member of the Presbyterian Church in Minot and especially enjoyed reading, camping, hunting and spending time with kids and pets.

Brady is survived by his children: Matthew (Allison) Elder of Minot, Alesha (Chris) Bailey of Lakenheath AFB in England; grandchildren: Torin Elder and Deacon Bailey; siblings: Peggy Downs of Billings, MT, Randy Elder of Madison, WI, and Kevin (Nettie) Elder of Nelson, New Zealand and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Brady was preceded in death by his parents.

Celebration of the Life of Brady Elder: Friday, February 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Cornerstone Presbyterian Church - Minot.
Interment will be at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Billings, MT.
Visitation: Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home - Minot.
Memorials are preferred to the Souris Valley Animal Shelter, Minot.
