Bradley Kunkel , 30, Rural Deering, entered into his eternal life Thursday, October 29, 2009 in a vehicle accident near Deering, ND.
Bradley was born March 29, 1979, in Minot, North Dakota, to Dale and Cathy (Woodall) Kunkel. He was raised and educated in Granville. He attended Wyoming Technical Institute in Laramie, WY completing his training as a Diesel Technician in 1998.
He returned home to the Granville/Deering area where he was a farmer and rancher. He had numerous jobs working for J&J Truck Repair, Norwich, Walter Otto Construction, Granville, Craft Builders, Minot and Wittmayer Scrap Iron, Granville. He was recently employed by Nabors Corporate Services, Inc., Houston, TX, in North Dakota, where he held several positions. Bradley was always working and helping out anyone who needed it.
Bradley was a supporter of Pheasants for the Future, National Turkey Federation and HOG'S Motorcycle Group. He carried a love for the outdoors, enjoying fishing, hunting, riding snowmobile and his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was always dreaming of new and better ways to farm and raise his cattle. But most of all, he loved spending time with his son, Lane.
Those Who Shared in His Life: son, Lane Bradley Kunkel and Lane's mother, Dori Lundy and sister, Samantha Lundy, Granville, ND; mother, Cathy Kunkel, Deering, ND; father, Dale (Gerry) Kunkel, Woodland Park, CO; sisters, Angela Kunkel (Scott Wittmayer) Granville, ND and Linda Kunkel (Joe Eberle) Zahl, ND; nephew, Cody Eberle, Zahl, ND; maternal grandmother, Marie Woodall, Deering, ND; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Bradley was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Duane and Beverly Woodall, paternal grandparents, Fred and Marie Kunkel and cousins, Michael Woodall, Miranda Woodall, and Andrew Zimbleman.
Funeral service: Thursday, November 5, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at First Lutheran Church, Granville, ND
Interment: Granville Community Cemetery, Granville, ND
Visitation: Wednesday, November 4, 2009, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials: In Lieu of plants and flowers, memorials are preferred to the 'Lane Kunkel Educational Fund' at Prairie Federal Credit Union, PO Box 3160, Minot, ND 58702.
