Brad L. Prentice , TSgt USAF, Ret., 59, Minot and formerly of Mendota, IL, died Sunday, November 15, 2020 in a Minot hospital.

Brad was born April 14, 1961 in Mendota, IL to Jim and June (Zimmerman) Prentice. He grew up in Mendota and graduated from Mendota High School in 1979.

Brad enlisted into the US Air Force on December 20, 1979.  He served his country honorably during his 20-year career that placed him at the Minot AFB for most of his career.  He worked with the crew of the 91 ^st Missile Wing and completed NCO Leadership School in 1989.  During his service he earned the rank of Tech Sergeant and retired on December 31, 1999.  Following his military career, he worked for a short time for Pure Honda of Minot until returning to continue his work on MAFB as a Department of Defense civilian contractor until his passing.

Brad was once married to Iris Bollman.  They were blessed with two children, James and Sandra.

Brad worked hard and played hard. He would often be seen cruising around on the two wheels of his several motorcycles or behind the wheel of his Shelby GT500 laying down some rubber. He also enjoyed gaming, camping, and spending time with his dog Ruckus. He was a member of the Souris Valley Motorcycle Club of Minot, the Gold Wing Road Riders Association, and the Minot Rifle and Pistol Club. He traveled often spending time with friends and loved ones along the scenic roads of Yosemite, The Ozarks, and up the coast of Maine with his mom on a lighthouse tour. He will be missed most by those who knew him as dad, grandpa, son, brother, uncle and friend.

Brad's loving family includes his son James Prentice, Fargo, ND; daughter Sandra Abrahamson, Stanley, ND; granddaughter Victoria Abrahamson, Stanley, ND; mother June Prentice, Mendota, IL; twin brother Tim (Patty) Prentice, Lancaster, CA; sisters Kelly (Joe) Baird, Granville, IL and Kim (Steve) Kofoid, Compton, IL along with many nieces, nephews and his well-loved Cocker Spaniel Ruckus.

Brad was preceded in death by his father James 'Jim' Prentice in 2005.

A Graveside Service is scheduled for Friday, November 27, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Restland Cemetery, 22 ^nd Street and Route 251, Mendota, IL 61342.
