Bonny Kirby, 63, Minot, died Wednesday, December 14, 2016, in her home.

Bonny was born January 7, 1953, in Stanley, ND, to George and Jean (LaRock) Andes. She grew up in Parshall, ND, graduating with the Parshall High School Class of 1971.

Bonny enlisted in the US Air Force in 1978, serving honorably until her discharge in 1982. Bonny returned to Minot in 1983.

Bonny graduated from Minot State University in 1991, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. Her working years were spent as a legal secretary for a number of law firms in North Dakota, Florida and New Mexico.

Bonny enjoyed reading and writing but was most comfortable in the outdoors. She enjoyed nature and all of its gifts through hunting and fishing. She enjoyed grilling with family and friends and was known to travel. Bonny had a huge heart and was a lover of animals. Her 16-year-old black poodle, named Steeler, showcased her love for her favorite football team. Bonny loved to feed the squirrels and turkeys, helping them through winters in ND. She had a soft spot for horses and her dog, Scooter, whom she loved so dearly.

Her surviving family includes her loving companion of 22 years, Mike Erickson, Minot; siblings, Lynda Bettes of Missouri, Bert Andes of Dickinson, ND and Irvin Andes of Parshall, ND along with a number of nieces and nephews.

Bonny was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Lynn Andes.

Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.

Interment: Little Flower Catholic Cemetery, Rugby, ND in the Spring of 2017

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the start of the service at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
