Robert Napora , 73, Minot, died Wednesday, November 29, 2017, in a Minot hospital.
Robert was born June 22, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois to Edward and Elizabeth (Lewis) Napora. Although he spent his youth in Chicago, Bob felt like a native North Dakotan, having lived over thirty years of his life in the state.
Although he had no great accomplishments, Bob felt like he had turned enough corners to make life fulfilling and very interesting. In 2010, he fulfilled a lifelong dream of owning a bar with his wife and son, Rick with the purchase of the Ranger in Minot . His pastimes were having an occasional aperitif and horse racing.
The Princess also made life very exciting and pleasurable. Bob's only claim to fame was that he, "Never shorted his partner." Bob is also looking forward to getting to that vineyard in France.
His loving family includes his loving wife of 25 years, Sonja 'Sunny' Napora, Minot; sons, Robert (Kristin) Napora, Belleville, WI and Richard (Jen) Napora, Minot, ND; mother, Elizabeth Chicago, IL; brother, Edward (Shirley) Napora, Maple Park, IL; Grandson, Xander Napora, along with several step grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his father and his brother Ronald.
At Bob's request, no formal services will be held. Family and friends are invited to share time with Sunny at her favorite place of relaxation.
