Blanche S. Seyfert, 94, Minot, formerly of Sawyer, died Monday, April 30, 2012 in a Minot Nursing Home.

Blanche was born March 23, 1918 on the family farm near Sawyer, the daughter of James and Mary (Krebit) Hayes. She attended schools at Sawyer and graduated from Sawyer High School in 1936.

Blanche was united in marriage to Leo Seyfert on August 10, 1938 at rural Sawyer. They made their home at Fortuna, where they farmed for many years. They moved to Sawyer, where they lived for a few years, prior to moving to Minot, where they have since resided.

Leo died January 21, 1992. Blanche entered Trinity Homes in February of 2009.

Blanche was a fan of Elvis and enjoyed rodeos, garage sales, quilting and various crafts. She never missed an opportunity to play Bingo and help with quilting activities at Trinity Homes.

Her loving family includes , son, Robert (Barbara) Seyfert, Burnsville, MN; grandchildren, Scott (Yan) Seyfert of Centerville, MO, Brian Seyfert of Marana, AZ, Chad Seyfert of Brooklyn Center, MN, Sherri Seyfert and Janelle Begeman, both of Tucson, AZ, & Becky (Ryan) Smith of Apple Valley, MN; great-grandchildren, Dustin, Brandon & Christopher; along with a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Blanche was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Leo, son, James and four sisters.

Funeral service : Monday, May 7, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation: Sunday from Noon-5:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Vigil Prayer Service: Sunday at 5:30 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
