Bill Yecoshenko , 91, Butte, died Saturday, December 1, 2007, in a Velva nursing home.
Bill was born November 25, 1916, in Butte, ND, the son of Walter and Mary (Kohonas) Yecoshenko. He was raised and educated in the Butte area where he helped on the family farm.
Bill was united in marriage to Lydia Michalenko on May 3, 1941, in Minot. They continued to live in Butte, where they farmed small grains, until Bill retired in 2001.
Bill enjoyed going to all his families sporting events and school activities. He especially liked to take his grandson Trent fishing and trapping.
Bill was a former member of the Butte School Board. Bill and Lydia were active members of the Butte Assembly of God. Bill was a caring husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all.
Surviving family includes: Wife: Lydia Yecoshenko, Minot; Son: Richard (Kathie) Yecoshenko, Minot; Daughter-in-law: Bonnie Hendrickson, Central Point, OR; Grandchildren: Blair (Yecoshenko) Hendrickson, Todd (Janelle) Yecoshenko, Albertville, MN, Troy Yecoshenko, Mesa, AZ; Great Grandchildren: Cooper, Brooke, Madison, Addy; Sisters: Gladys Eisenrich, Butte, Mabel Zalomsky, Butte, Emma Verbitsky, Minot; Sister-in-law: Amy Yecoshenko, Butte; Brothers: Melvin (Ruth) Yecoshenko, Butte, Sam Yecoshenko, Butte; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, son: Billy, grandson: Trent; brothers: Ed and Walter Yecoshenko, and sister: Ella Wolf.

Interment:
Butte Community Cemetery, Butte, ND.
