Beverly Jean Wicklander, 63, Minot and formerly of Williston and Wilton died on Friday, March 8, 2013 in a Tulsa OK cancer care center.
Beverly was born on September 30, 1949 in Bismarck to William and Stella (Skorpat) Hruby. She was reared and educated in Wilton and graduated from Wilton High School in 1967. She continued her education at Williston State College where she received an Associates Degree in Business.
Beverly married Gary Wicklander on September 23, 1969 in Washburn. They made their home in Williston where she was a fulltime wife, mother and homemaker. Following Gary's death on November 26, 1985 she began employment as the Administrative Assistant to the Director of the Northwest Human Service Center in Williston. She continued in that position until she moved to Minot in 2008 to be closer to her children and grandchildren. Since moving to Minot she was employed at the Choice Hotels Reservation Center. She had been struggling with Uterine Cancer since November of 2011.
Beverly was a member of the Catholic Faith and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading, historical trips and trips to the Minot Zoo.
Beverly's loving family includes her children: Sean Wicklander, Jamie Wicklander, Erica Wickalnder and Matthew (Kimberly) Wicklander all of Minot; grandchildren: Brandon, Roger, Isabella, William, Samantha, Colleen and Eryn; sisters: Alice (Paul Pfennig of Janesville MN and Ann (John) Novak of Bismarck and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Jack Hruby and sister: Kay Fox.
Mass of Christian Burial: Friday, March 15, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in Little Flower Catholic Church -Minot. Recitation of the Rosary: Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home - Minot.
Interment arrangements are pending.
Visitation: Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home - Minot.
Memorials are preferred to the Minot Zoological Society.
