Obituary

Beverly Storbeck, 77, Minot, died Tuesday, April 18, 2017, in a Minot hospital.

Beverly was born on August 30, 1939 at Turtle Lake, North Dakota to Frank and Marie (Krumweide) Stadler. She grew up on the farm north of Turtle Lake and attended Wise Township School of McLean County, northeast of Turtle Lake. She completed her education at Turtle Lake High School in 1956.

After graduation, she moved to Minot, where she met the love of her life Leonard Storbeck. They were united in marriage on June 28, 1959 in Minot, where the couple made their home. While her husband worked as an electrician, Beverly was a fulltime wife, mother and homemaker. She was known for her fun-loving personality that would brighten any room, which coined her fitting nickname "Sunshine" from her husband. Her infectious laugh will be greatly missed and always remembered.

Beverly was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Minot. She treasured her time with her close friends from church, her bowling league, as well as the Square-Dance Club in which she and Leonard created many fond memories. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, cooking and playing cards. Most important was spending time with family and friends at their lake home on Lake Sakakawea, where she was certified as the #1 fish cleaner.

Beverly's surviving family includes her loving husband of 57 years, Leonard, Minot; daughters, Tamara Storbeck, Hazen, ND; Janet (Bob) Monette, Flagstaff, AZ; Susan (Bob) Pratt, Minot; five grandchildren, Nicholas Bakke, Austin Monette, Ashley Monette, Mitchell Pratt and Alyssa Pratt; brother, Russell (Jackie) Stadler, Turtle Lake, ND; and sister, Marge McHone, Danville, CA along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Willard Stadler.
