Obituary

Betty Rae Flom-Voeller , 58, Minot, and formerly of Glasgow, MT, died on Saturday, April 7, 2012 in her home after losing her battle with cancer.

Betty was born on October 20, 1953 in Glasgow, MT, to Julius and Olga (Todahl) Flom. She was reared there and graduated from Glasgow High School in 1971. She was once married to Cliff Cook and they made their home in Glasgow. Betty was employed at the Department of Motor Vehicle Office, a theatre and deli all in Glasgow.

Betty married Marvin Voeller on January 20, 1997 in Minot. They made their home in Minot where she was employed at the Roosevelt Park Zoo, Department of Motor Vehicles office and operated a foster care/day care for three years. Most recently, she was employed at Diva Lifewear and was self-employed as an alterations seamstress at Minot Air Force Base.

Betty was a member of the Jaycees and was a Girl Scout and 4-H leader all in Glasgow. She especially enjoyed reading, crocheting, sewing, cooking, baking, knitting and caring for animals.

Betty is survived by her husband: Marvin Voeller of Minot; daughter: Christina Cook of Alton IL; stepsons: Dusty Voeller and Micheal Feigitsch both of Minot; grandchild: Kali Holmes; siblings: Phyllis (Eldon) Huston and Jackie (Bob) Bird both of St. Marie, MT, Gerry Dahl of Glasgow, Joyce (Kon) Fuhrman of Great Falls, MT, Kermit (Shawn) Flom and Karen (Larry) Fuhrman both of Nashua, MT, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents and brothers: Jalmer, LeRoy, Richard and Julius Jr.

Funeral Service: Thursday, April 12, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.

Visitation: There will be no reviewal but friends may sign a memorial register on Wednesday, April 11 from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.

Memorial Service: Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church, Nashua, Montana.

Memorials: In lieu of plants and flowers memorials are preferred to Souris Valley Animal Shelter, 1935 20th Ave SE, Minot, ND 58701.
