Betty Beverly Everson, 91, Minot died on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 in a Minot nursing home.
Betty was born on April 28, 1926 in Gainesville, TX to Albert and Mary Ellen (Stinnett) Burch. She was reared and educated there. As a young adult she was employed as a secretary/clerk in a military camp by the U.S. Government.
Betty was once married to Harold Everson. They made their home in Minneapolis, Fargo and Bottineau prior to moving to Minot in 1958. During this time Betty was employed as a secretary, owned and operated a laundromat (Broadway at 11th Ave. -South in Minot), managed the Thunderbird and Stanley Motels and worked as a caregiver for the elderly prior to her retirement in 1995.
Betty was affiliated with the Lutheran Faith and she especially enjoyed golfing, bowling and playing bingo.
Betty's loving family includes her children: Karen Gillmore, Curtis (Pam) Everson and Kim (Chuck) McNicholas all of Minot and Candace (Mike) Fahy of Mesa AZ; grandchildren: Jeff and Tanya Iverson, Kirk and Sommer Gillmore, Travis and Justin McNicholas, Curtis Jr. and Kenneth Everson and Ashley Simpson; great grandchildren: Natalie Shields, Lexis Gillmore, Gunnar, Tucker and Zo St. Croix, Leah Iverson, Miles and Hudson McNicholas, Wyatt and Charlie Love McNicholas and Virgil Simpson; step great grandchild: Quinn Killmer; great great grandchildren: Jerzee and Jagger St. Croix and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, son: Kenneth, son-in-law: Al Gillmore and siblings: Geraldine Houston, Gerald Burch and Charles Burch.
Celebration of the Life of Betty Everson: Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Thomas Family Funeral Home - Minot.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park - Minot.
Visitation: Monday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home - Minot.
