Obituary

Beryl M. Miller, 81, Minot, died Wednesday, May 13, 2009 in a Minot Hospital.

Beryl was born February 2, 1928 at Minot, the daughter of Harold and Geneva (Albert) Nelson. She was raised and educated in Minot, graduating from Minot High School in 1946. She attended the Trinity School of Nursing for two years, prior to her marriage to Frank "Red" Miller on December 21, 1947 at Minot.

They made their home in Minot throughout the years, where along with raising their three sons, she worked at Roosevelt Elementary School for two years. Beryl was a member of First Lutheran Church, Minot, where she was active in a number of capacities, including the Women's circle group, Altar guild, Deaconess Visitation program, Quilter's group, and was well known for her lemon meringue pies that she made for the Church's fair stand. Beryl had also served as a volunteer for the Trinity Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking, baking and quilting.

Her loving family includes: husband of sixty-two years, Frank "Red" Miller; sons, Bruce (Rebecca) Miller, Moscow, ID, Scott Miller, Fargo, ND, and Rear Admiral, Mike (Barbara) Miller, Washington D.C.; grandson, Michael Miller Jr., San Diego, CA; sisters, Joyce Phillips, Salt Lake City, UT, Mary Jo Lewis, Bellingham, WA; and a brother, Harold Nelson, Brownsville, TN.

Beryl was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Karen.

Funeral service: Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in First Lutheran Church, Minot;
Interment
: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot;
Visitation:
Friday from 2:00-7:00 p.m. in the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot;
Memorials are preferred to First Lutheran Church Radio Broadcast Fund.
